Run a Release
Validate, schedule, acknowledge warnings, and run a Release.
Validation identifies blockers before execution. The Release is validated again when it runs.
Access
Opening an existing Release requires backend.read and release.read. Validation and warning acknowledgement additionally require release.update and content.read for every item. Scheduling or canceling requires release.schedule; Run now requires release.execute. Every item also requires the applicable content.publish or content.unpublish permission with matching scope.
Validate and execute
- Select Validate.
- Resolve every error. If warnings remain, review them and use the acknowledgement control only for intentional risk.
- To schedule, select Schedule or Reschedule, choose Timezone, Publish at, and optional Unpublish at, then select Schedule. To execute immediately, select Run now.
- Confirm the run. If an agent proposed the schedule, select Confirm schedule.
- If execution is Failed, fix the cause and select Reopen before editing or running again.
Execution commits all items or none. Any relevant content, manifest, or schedule change makes prior validation stale.
Cancel scheduled restore cancels only the future window restoration; it does not undo publication that already happened.
