Create and edit content

Edit fields, references, assets, Components, and Taxonomy assignments.

Access

Creating an entry requires backend.read, content.read, and content.create, scoped to the Backend and Content type. Editing requires backend.read, content.read, and content.update; the scope must also match the locale for localized values.

Create or update an entry

  1. Open a Content type and select New entry, or open an existing entry.
  2. Choose a locale if the Locale control is shown.
  3. Fill the fields. Use the supplied selectors for references, assets, Components, and Taxonomy Terms.
  4. Select Save.
  5. If someone else saved first, reload, review the newer version, and reapply your changes.
  6. Publish separately when the entry is ready.

Save before changing locale. Shared fields always use the default locale. Component changes save independently from the main form and can have their own version conflicts.

A restricted reference can remain stored without revealing its target. Archived Taxonomy Terms remain visible on existing content but cannot be selected for a new assignment.
