Preview or roll back
Compare Release and Published views or restore the pre-release state.
Release preview shows staged Publish versions in context before they run. Rollback restores the complete pre-Release state; it is not a general undo.
Access
Preview requires backend.read, release.read, previewTarget.read, and previewSession.create, plus access to the affected content. Rollback requires release.read, release.rollback, and the inverse content permissions needed to restore every item.
Preview the Release
- Open an Open, Scheduled, Failed, or Published Release and select Preview.
- Compare the Release and Published views in the preview controls.
- Confirm an enabled preview target covers the affected Data Types if preview cannot open.
Roll back publication
- On a Published Release, select Roll back.
- Read the confirmation and continue only if every item should return to its pre-Release state.
- Confirm the status becomes Rolled back.
A manual rollback cancels a pending window end. Live-Draft changes do not replace Release-staged versions; drift is shown as a warning.
